The time line of Krishna Gilda’s love affair with @onhisowntrip
Nov 2018 : asks for an Andamans trip but gets to know Nero isn’t leading, so decides to wait.
Apr 2019: Goes for Meghalaya with Nero. Group notices that this young kid is super sweet. Is cheering and massaging people’s shoulders after a long trek. Another day, goes to a Pani Puri stall and makes Pani Puri for everyone. Trippers love him.
Sep 2019: The famous trio – Nero, Abhay Tyagi are Krishna’s roomies. A close bond develops. Abha’s first trip. Two years later, both Abhay & Abha are also trip leaders for OHOT.
Pandemic
Oct 2020: First OHOT trip after pandemic. Krishna comes, gifts spoons and cutlery to all trippers, even though he is a tripper himself. Only cos it’s pandemic and he wants people to think OHOT is going out of its way to protect people.
Nov 2021: Wayanad. Everyone feels Krishna is a perfect trip leader as he helps everyone in waterfalls, climbing cliffs, engages with everyone. In the kindest of gestures, at one dhaba where we get a bill for rs 140, he gives the shopkeeper rs 2000. Why? Because its a new shop and Krishna wants to help him out. Trippers love him.
Feb 2022: Lakshadweep. Krishna injures his leg as he tries to help a girl who is in the ocean and isn’t able to come back by herself to the ship. His foot is injured for the whole trip, but he still is a sport, has fun with trippers whenever they are back from any activity. Trippers love him.
June 2022: Assists Nero in leading Sikkim trip. Trippers love him.
Nov 2022: Is officially leading Sikkim trip alone.
In less than 2 weeks, this boy whom I have loved more than most people, will be leading a group in Sikkim. It is my absolute conviction that Krishna has all the qualities to be a fantastic trip leader. Why?
Because he has tremendously high EQ. He cares for people beyond measure. He gives love without expecting.
Cos he’s super enthusiastic.
Cos he loves nature.
Because he’s generous and kind
Cos he is assertive, can tackle situations.
