This is what Captain Nero, says about Sarvesh:

I first met Sarvesh at Bishkek airport. He had signed up for my Kyrgyzstan trip. I heard he had already done one trip with another trip leader of mine.

That Kyrgyzstan trip is my most memorable trip from 2023. We had a mad bunch of people who would stick like glue with each other. We really made Kyrgyz people go mad with our dancing, laughter, and loony behaviour.

Sarvesh was at the forefront of this. Despite having a demeanour that would hint “serious”, Sarvesh was super witty, and always part of every shenanigan.
The two of us had a mutual respect for each other, and unlike other boys, I didn’t see him as a younger brother, but as an equal. He has that sort of an aura. Even then, I could see the signs of a leader in him.

I noticed how comfortable everyone around him was. One evening I saw all the girls huddling around him, turn by turn, clicking photographs with him. With every girl on that trip, he had a “romantic couple” pose. Maybe he bribed them 😉 Heh, jokes apart, that’s how comfortable everyone was with him.

There were quite a few emotional moments on the trip, where Sarvesh and I would just exchange a glance. And know what the other was thinking.

After the trip, Sarvesh did two others trips with us as a tripper. I wasn’t leading those, and he called up Shrimayi, scared to tell me he was going with someone else 😉 I found it cute.

One day it hit me. And I called up Sarvesh and asked him if he would like to lead our new year trip to Kashmir. Though he was nervous, he agreed. I know Sarvesh. I know that he has it in him to make people bond, that he has a firm hand on things, and that he will give his best.

When some trippers wrote great testimonials about him, I felt super happy. He went on to then lead trips in Auli and Sri Lanka for us. As we speak, he is leading a trip in Bhutan.

Sarvesh and I haven’t met after Kyrgyz. I feel very affectionate towards him, and his desire to give his best for us, makes me feel even closer to him. I am yet to decide if I should forgive him for going on a trip not lead by me though 😉
