As the world started travelling!
enthusiastically again in 2022, the travel industry resumed its work
with renewed vigour!
Here at On His Own trip, we decided to start leading trips in new countries. The urge to go beyond
the usual or regular, the urge to try something new, the professional pride of offering something to
the Indian consumers that others haven’t before, has always been high for us.
So while we did restart trips to Bali, Vietnam and Thailand just like many other Indian travel
companies, we also spent time researching other countries.
A special mention to Radhika Kulthia, our Operations Head. She has been very instrumental in
bringing a lot of these destinations to our audience and potential travellers. Her enthusiasm to see
places that many don’t, to find the best in those places, to find out hidden waterfalls, exciting
activities, experiences, makes her the ideal person to handle this.
1) In August, we put up our first Kenya trip. Within 3-4 days, our first batch got booked out,
and we ended up taking two batches – 40 people to Kenya.
Kenya review – > Kenya absolutely fascinated me, trip leader Sakshi Pant and all the 38
people who did the trip with us. The Masai Mara, the raw wildlife, the lack of inhibition and
absolute confidence and freedom with which they moved around, overwhelmed us. The
resorts we stayed in, were amongst the best I have stayed in, in our international trips. Our
guides were professional, knew a lot about the jungle and animals and educated us well. All
in all, it was a fantastic trip.
We plan to do Kenya again for New Years and in 2023, we expect to do 5-6 trips to the
country.
