The states of Uttarakhand and Himachal are famous for their mountain treks. And while many people can debate on which is better, we think you don’t have to choose. The trek to Rupin Pass is your answer.
Rupin Pass trek starts from Dhaula village in Uttarakhand and ends in the Sangla Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Capturing the beauty of both the states, the trek is very popular among the adventure enthusiasts
It is a high altitude trek and the trails are at times difficult with steep climbs. But the vistas that keep changing every day fuel your motivation to keep climbing. The trek crosses through warmer landscapes and follows through the colder ones gradually. It takes you through the green meadows, snow fields and plenty of waterfalls.

The Rupin River runs along the trail and the blue water complements the scenery perfectly. You will pass through the lush green forests of fir, rhododendron, oak and pine. There are many highlights on this trek and one of the best is the “Hanging Village”.  Jhaka village is situated at the edge of a cliff giving an illusion that it’s hanging.
You will also come across numerous snow bridges. Have you seen Frozen? It feels like Elsa has created these snow bridges for you to cross. And what about you? Do you want to build a snowman?

The most talked about is the Lower waterfall campsite on the trek. The campsite lies in a lush green meadow with snow covered peaks on three sides. The view around is nothing short of breathtaking. The camp will leave you speechless once you reach there.

And then you will see multicoloured flags fluttering away and creating a rainbow in the white valley. You are surrounded by the mighty Dhauldhar range. This is Rupin Pass.
