Indian Summer: If you are craving good Indian food, then Indian Summer is the place to be. It is situated in a very nice location with a gorgeous view of Lake Gregory. The service is extremely friendly and attentive, and the décor is swanky and modern!
Try to go here during the lunch hours and enjoy the view of the lake with your food. The North Indian food here is delicious and we loved the masala chai.
Cafe Themparadu: This is an open-Air Restaurant located in the heart of the city over-viewing the wonderful Victoria Park. The food here is delicious and well priced. We loved the cheese kotthu and the fresh juices. The music is quite lively and attracts the crowd especially at nights.
The 19th Hole Pub: The 19th Hole is a cozy pub with a great atmosphere and like most of Nuwara Eliya, it resembles that of a pub you’d find in England. The pub is located on the 1st floor of Hotel Glendower with a pretty garden outside. It is a nice place to hang out with your friends for a few rounds of drinks. They also have a happy hour from 17:30 to 19:30 daily.
Coffee Bar: This small joint in The Grand Hotel serves the best coffee in Nuwara Eliya. The staff is friendly and he service is quick. You can choose something from their sweet and savoury section to go with your coffee. Their cakes and macaroons are yummy. Coffee bar is the perfect place to unwind in the evenings.
Aralia Green City Food Court: This food court is centrally located and is great to grab lunches or dinners. The menu is vast with cuisines from all around the world. They have a little dessert corner where you can indulge in a variety of cakes. The staff is attentive and you can also request the chef to customize the dish according to your taste.
