India is proud of our scientists at ISRO and the lunar attempt by Chandrayaan 2. We have even more to be proud of.

12 year old Kaamya Karthikeyan became the youngest girl in the world yesterday to summit 6262 metres high Mt Mentok Kangri which overlooks Lake Tso Moriri in Ladakh. This is the second 6000 metre plus mountain she has summitted.

In 2017, just 10 years old then, she climbed the formidable Mt Stok Kangri, again the youngest girl in the world to do so. She is gunning to become the youngest girl in the world to climb the highest peaks in all the seven continents.

Morethan the records itself, we hope she continues being in love with the mountains, chasing adventure and enjoying and soaking it in, being awed by all beautiful things, growing up to be sensitive to all, and continue being the inspiration that she already is. Stay safe, Kaamna, you make us very proud.
