How to reach Leh

BY AIR:

Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport or Ladakh Airport (8 km away) connects this beautiful destination with rest of country via regular flights. It is also one of the highest airports in the world. The checking is a bit strict on Leh airport being a military airport. One can get taxis from the airport to the destination.

BY ROAD:

I am sure travelling to Leh by road is on everyone’s bucketlist. There are mainly two routes to reach here, the first being the Zoji La Pass connecting Srinagar to Ladakh, covering 434 Km and Rohtang Pass that connects Manai to Ladakh, covering 473 Km.

Alternatively, The Himachel Pradesh Tourism (HRTC) and Jammu and Kashmir State Tourism have bus services between Manali – Leh and Srinagar – Leh. The bus journey takes approximately 17 – 19 hours to reach Leh.

BY TRAIN:

If you are travelling by train, then the closest railway station is Jammu Tawi, located at a distance of almost 700km from Ladakh. It is well-connected to the major cities in India. Upon reaching the Jammu Tawi railway station, travelers can hire private taxis, cabs or opt for state bus services and it will take around 15 hours to reach Leh,
