Kabini is around 150 km from Bangalore. You can drive down in your car, hire a cab or board a bus from there.
Best Time to Visit
Kabini can be visited any time of the year. The area receives heavy rainfall from June to September, so if you want to go out and explore then you should avoid these months. November-January is the best time to spot the maximum number of wildlife.
Things to do
Go on a safari through Nagarhole National Park. Watch the wild elephants bathing in the river, the bisons and the antelops running with your jeep, and spot the leopards hiding in the trees. The drive in itself is very refreshing. Close your eyes and feel the cool breeze kissing your cheeks.
Take a Boat Safari. A trip out on the river is perfect for spotting birds. Take a boat safari in the evening, and see the beautiful birds. Don’t forget to carry your camera!
You can also go for a coracle ride on Kabini river. The views are stunning with the backdrop of the jungle and few animals strolling around them. Try to time your visit around sunset so that you can see the different hues of sky.
Visit Coffee and Spice Plantations. The small towns here are home to picturesque coffee and spice estates. Take a walk in the lush green plantations while sipping one of the best coffees.
