pelling

Every year we do multiple trips to Sikkim, and have explored it thoroughly. So we do know exactly how it is every month.

The best time to visit Pelling is from April to June, and October to November end.  In these months, there is no rain, it is not too cold, and the views of the Kanchenjunga are most clear. Pelling is famous for its views of the Kanchenjunga, and therefore its best to go in a season when the view is clear.

Temperatures are around 12-18 degrees in the day, and in single digits at night, in these months season.

From July to September, there is heavy downpour almost daily, and roads in these mountains will be prone to landslides and could be risky to travel. Even the sightseeing would get affected, because it would be very misty. Most days the sky would be very cloudy, and you would not get to see Peak Kanchenjunga.

From December to February, there won’t be rain, so it would be easy to move around. However, it will be very cold. Since its the north east, it will become quite dark by 5 pm in the winter months.
