We created a trek of our own in Chopta. When it snowed, the whole area was blanketed by snow. And all the cars had to go down the valley and wait where there was no sleet. Instead of following the road route, we walked through the mountains, in the midst of the most beauty I had seen all year for 7-8 kms. The best part was that everything was so beautiful that not even one tripper felt tired. Instead they all felt bad when they saw the vehicle and wanted to walk the entire 15 kms to the resort.

The Auli Gorson Bugyal trek. As the meadows start, there is a temple right at the beginning. About 400-500 metres from that was a peak that gave a 360 degree view of the whole surroundings, of the mountains.

As the snow started during our Chopta Tungnath trek on the second day of the year, we just let go of everything - of our lives, of our trek, of anything and everything, and just lived completely in that moment.
