coronavirus outbreak

The Government of India has made elaborate arrangements for the evacuation of 324 Indians from Wuhan city in response to the emergency situation that has arisen due to outbreak of Novel Coronavirus in China. A team of doctors, public health specialists were sent in an Air India plane. The incoming Indian passengers have been quarantined for 14 days at the two Quarantine Centers set-up at Manesar. All male passengers (approx. 280) are proposed to be sent to Manesar Camp and families/females (approx. 90) can be housed in the ITBP camp.

Adequate medical care has been provided by a team of doctors at both the facilities. In addition, a 50-bedded critical care facility has been set up at Safdurjung Hospital in Delhi for critical care of the patients. All persons admitted to both the quarantine facilities will be monitored on daily basis for a period of 14 days.

A second Air India craft has been sent to to evacuate more Indians from coronavirus-hit Wuhan, hours after the first flight with 324 passengers landed in the Indian capital today morning.

It is very common for people to criticize governments, to criticize the national air carrier. But we must appreciate them when it’s due. Here at On His Own Trip, we would like to really salute the courage of the salute the courage of the doctors, all the medical staff, the pilots and the airline staff, who are flying to China to rescue the stranded Indians. We would also like to appreciate the government in being proactive regarding the safety of the citizens and taking measures to bring them back, and give them immediate medical attention.

Also, a tiny prayer for China and anyone who has been affected by the virus. We hope and pray that everyone gets cured, and their lives are normal soon again.
