Sitting on a Monday afternoon working on my laptop, and suddenly a college senior from MICA pings me. We haven’t spoken in years so I’m surprised to see the notification. I open Messenger to see a couple of attached photographs. It’s of a customized pen holder with some of our Meghalaya trip pictures printed on it.

I read her message, “Just saw this in a colleague’s cubicle. Was super happy and proud of you to see this.”

The colleague of course was one of my trippers from last year’s April Meghalaya trip.

On a Monday afternoon, seeing this while working made me smile. So happy that a trip can be so meaningful to a person that they store it’s memories in their cubicle. That they can look at those trip pictures right in front of them every day. Takes me back to the trip and all the memories, the conversations.

This is why we are leading trips. For such small moments.

P.s to my friend a big thank you for holding these moments close!
